Wolf Law is proud to announce that our own Colleen Kelley will be the special guest for a NARSOL in Action conference call on Wednesday, Aug. 15. NARSOL is the National Association for Rational Sexual Offense Laws, an organization concerned with the post-conviction treatment of those convicted of sexual offenses.
The Aug. 15 call will focus on the sexual offender deregistration process in Colorado. An associate attorney at Wolf Law, Kelley has successfully led a number of deregistration petitions across the state.
Also on the agenda is a discussion of Millard v. Rankin, a case currently pending in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 10th Circuit in Denver. Attorneys for the plaintiffs in that case have argued that the Colorado Sex Offender Registration Act violates Eighth Amendment protections against cruel and unusual punishment, and the right to due process.
As part of the NARSOL in Action call, Kelley will address questions regarding deregistration petitions as well as the legal limitations of demands that may be imposed on convicted sexual offenders by parole officers or registry tracking officers.
NARSOL asks that those interested in joining the conference call register online. The call will also stream live on YouTube.
